The Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, Executive Yuan has been steadfastly promoting the e-government for more than a decade, with significant results in campaigning the Internet information applications among government departments, garnering excellent results in many international ratings. In a bid to concurrently excel the Web-site development and launching capability and the service quality among private Non-profit/non-governmental organizations and pubic associations (hereinafter referred to as the Non-profit organizations), the commission has since developed and implemented a quality private Non-profit Website sponsorship plan, along with business/private community Website barrier-free and Website consent value-added promotional sponsorship work, which not only aims to facilitate private Non-profit organizations and groups to continue update and strengthen their Website contents by developing and offering various innovative services, but also gears to actively spearhead the private organizations to instill a barrier-free Internet environment, which will enable physical and mental disabled to secure various Internet information and services as smoother, and to greatly bridge the digital disparity yield.
Amid the development of broader applications of the Internet information technology and in response to offering more services and diverse user needs, the E-government’s Internet applications service has broached toward a more refined group-specific service domain, advancing from the standard yardstick services of the Government to Government (G2G), Government to Business (G2B), Government to Customer (G2C) services of official document exchange, electronic procurement and Internet tax filing and so forth, to encompassing the more refined and broad-based group-specific services, including the Government to Association (G2A), Government to Disadvantaged (G2D), Government to Foreigner (G2F), and Government to Employee (G2E) Group-specific Internet Services. The program offers comprehensive Internet services tailored for a domain of seven subcategories, consisting of private associations (A), businesses (B), customers (C), disadvantaged groups (D), government employees (E), and foreign nationals (F), and defines the goal that the e-government is set out to achieve in the future. Also in the area of G2A, the existing individual Internet services provided by the Executive Yuan’s National Youth Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior, among other government arms in charge of other specific enterprising domains to Non-profit/non-governmental organizations and public associations are in need of further integration for providing portal linkup and referral linkup services.
